Man grievously injured in Birkirkara traffic accident

A man was grievously injured on Wednesday evening following a traffic accident in Birkirkara, the police said.

The accident took place in Dun Karm Street at 10.30pm.

It involved a Daihatsu Hijet driven by a 67-year-old man of Birkirkara and a Toyota Double Cabin driven by a 33-year-old man of Naxxar. A 67-year-old woman of San Gwann was riding as a passenger in the Daihatsu.

All three were given first assistance on site, with the Daihatsu driver later taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
