Paul Mescal gatecrashes Sky Sports interview to reunite with Formula One stars Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc

Paul Mescal gatecrashed a Sky Sports interview with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc on the red carpet of Gladiator II as he spoke all things Formula One.

The Kildare GAA star turned Hollywood A-Lister is an avid sports fan and recently caught up with the pair at the United States Grand Prix in Austin.

And he proved to be their lucky charm with the pair taking first and second on the day.

While on the red carpet, Mescal told Sky Sports: "I played a lot of Gaelic Football growing up but to be in the paddock in Austin I hope I surprised the boys with a little bit of my knowledge.

"In any context with any sport I love to get a little peak behind the curtain and these two are pretty special."

And asked if replacing Russell Crowe was in anyway similar to the Ferrari boys taking the seat of legends such as Michael Schumacher, he said: "I don't ever think about the past or the future you just focus on your own legacy and the legacy you want to carve out for yourself. I didn't think about that but I'm worried about my own plot of land."

And Mescal also said his upcoming plans include going to Las Vegas.
