Shamrock Rovers fans fume at TV commentator's name for team in European match
Shamrock Rovers fans are bemused by the television commentary of this evening's Europa Conference League match with The New Saints at Tallaght Stadium.
Stephen Bradley's side lead 2-1 at half-time as goals from Johnny Kenny and Dylan Watts cancelled out Jordan Williams' opener for the Welsh side.
But for the Rovers fans tuning into the game on TNT Sports, the match commentary has been a source of bemusement and annoyance.

The TNT Sports commentators have continually referred to the Dublin side as "Shamrock" throughout the match rather than as "Rovers".noted that the TNT Sports commentators think The New Saints have an advantage over a Rovers side playing "out of season"

One person said: "For the love of god TNT Sport, please tell your commentator to stop calling Shamrock Rovers “Shamrock”. If he wants to shorten it, ‘Rovers' is acceptable, nothing else; before I put my foot through my TV."
Another fumed: "Please tell your comms team in Dublin that Shamrock Rovers are known as Rovers or the Hoops and not Shamrock."
Rovers are enjoying themselves in Europe this season. After tonight's match against Welsh side The New Saints, they have ties with Rapid Vienna, Boruc and Chelsea to come.
TNS lost 2-0 away to Italian giants Fiorentina in their opening league phase game and then followed up with a 2-0 home win over Astana of Kazakhstan.
