Maximum attention in Rome for Oct 7, ghetto under watch

Italian authorities said Sunday there
will be maximum attention in Rome Monday on the occasion of the
first anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel.

   
The entire area of ;;the Jewish ghetto will be under intense
scrutiny, where on Monday morning a commemorative ceremony for
the 1,200 victims and 250 hostages will take place in the
synagogue in the presence of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

   
In the capital, security measures around sensitive targets of
the Jewish community had already been further boosted in recent
days in light of the situation in the Middle East, recent
anti-Semitic incidents and pro-Palestine marches announced close
to the anniversary of October 7.
