Biker, pillion rider injured in Birkirkara accident

A biker and a pillion rider were injured on Saturday afternoon following an accident in Birkirkara, the police said.

The accident happened in Tumas Fenech Street at 1.30pm.

The biker, aged 39 of Birkirkara, lost control of the Yamaha GDP he was riding and crashed.

He suffered grievous injuries while the pillion rider, a 35-year-old woman of Birkirkara, was slightly hurt.
