Katie McCabe stars in new Adidas F50 advert as WSL season approaches

Katie McCabe has shown off her acting chops in a new advert for the Adidas F50 boot.

The video begins with a hypnotherapist declaring that 'Katie hypnotises defenders with her speed.'

In the advert, McCabe undergoes a 'hypnosis session' where she describes what it feels like to skip past defenders while wearing the boots. After reeling off a list of buzz-words, the therapist clicks his fingers and McCabe returns to her normal self.

The advert is part of a new marketing campaign for the Adidas F50 boot, a campaign which has included the likes of Scott McTominay, Luis Diaz, Curtis Jones and a host of other Premier League and WSL stars.

While a career on the big screen could be in the offing for McCabe in the years to come, for now, she is focused on getting up to speed ahead of a new WSL season with Arsenal.

Earlier this Summer, McCabe was linked with a move away from the Gunners, with Lyon rumoured to be interested in signing the Republic of Ireland captain.

Speaking in June, McCabe said: “Yeah, look, I’m here. I’ve obviously full concentration on being with Ireland and our game prep for tomorrow.

“I’ve seen the rumours and for a club like Lyon to be interested, it’s really nice, but I’m an Arsenal player.

“I have been for a long time and full respect to my Arsenal fans and teammates and the club as a whole and that’s the way it’ll be.”

Asked if she was happy at Arsenal, McCabe replied: “Yeah as I said I’m an Arsenal player coming up to nearly nine years now.

“I love the club, I love what we have been able to do and the trajectory we went on. As I said, I’m an Arsenal player and that’s about it really, yeah.”
