Sharon Osbourne, 71, leaves fans in hysterics as she recreates iconic X Factor moment

Sharon Osbourne delighted fans when she recreated a famous 2007 audition from The X Factor.

The 71-year-old former judge on the singing competition was in attendance at one of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour shows at Wembley Arena wearing a 'Taylor for President 2024' shirt and numerous pearl necklaces. A fan who spotted her took a moment to ask the wife of Ozzy Osbourne if she would want to recreate an iconic X Factor scene.

To their surprise, she said yes. In 2007, a woman named Rachel entered the audition room to sing for Sharon, Louis Walsh, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue. However, it was her introductory conversation that lived on for years after. When Sharon asked for her name, she slyly answered 'Rachel' before looking away from the judges.

She was then asked about her occupation, and Rachel responded, "Nothing. I'm lazy at the moment." The contestant rocked skinny jeans, a crop top and a silver handbag for the occasion. Asked whether she sang professionally, she said: "Of course, I’ve been singing all my life, all around the towns and everything."

Rachel then confidently said she was capable of winning the competition but didn't make it out of the audition stages. Rachel insisted she could sing like Prince, Gwen Stefani, Kylie Minogue and Cyndi Lauper before singing Sheena Easton's Sugar Walls. The series ended up being won by Leon Jackson.

A TikTok user got Sharon to reenact the iconic audition with him, with the fan quietly reminding Sharon of her lines. The duo couldn't help but laugh as they tried to finish the video.

"Sharon Osbourne agreeing to recreate the Rachel X Factor Audition in 2024 is exactly why this woman is an icon – dreams can come true," he captioned the post. Fans were in hysterics watching the video and rushed to the comment section to share their delight.

"The way you had to remind her the script," one user said with a crying face while another added: "Does she know how iconic this is?!" One fan posted: "This means everything," and another user commented: "This is absolutely hilarious! I can't believe she went along with this."

One curious fan asked: "I need to know how the conversation went before she agreed to this." The original audition was shared on The X Factor's official YouTube page, with it gaining 3.5million views since its upload 16 years ago.
