Kerry Katona furiously slams fans who accuse her of being drunk in 'slurring' video

Kerry Katona has furiously responded to allegations that she was 'slurring her words' in a recent TikTok Live video, with some viewers even suggesting she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 43, has been candid about her early career drug use and disclosed last year that doctors had informed her she needed surgery due to her nose collapsing. Following the operation earlier this year, she expressed that the outcome signified the end of that period in her life.

"I'm glad I've had it done. It's like a reward and closing the door on that chapter of my life," she shared. However, Kerry has been forced to deny allegations she was under the influence in a recent TikTok video. In her latest OK! Magazine column, the mum-of-five clarified that she was definitely not inebriated and didn't intend to slur her words, hitting back at the trolls.

In her new column, Kerry wrote: "Last week, I faced accusations of "slurring" my words during a TikTok Live, with some suggesting I was drunk or on drugs. The truth is, I'm still on the mend from nose surgery recovery can take up to a year so my speech isn't perfect.

"Plus, I was knackered that day and sometimes I'm just a lazy speaker it's like my tongue takes a break. I wasn't sloshed it was early morning and I was on a treadmill. It's a pain when folks jump to the worst conclusions; I hardly drink and I've been clean for ages. But ultimately, I can't change my speech or if it comes across as slurred it's not on purpose."

In other news, Kerry also sent her love to Molly-Mae Hague following her split with ex fiancé Tommy Fury. Kerry suggested that it's now a new 'trend' for young couples to split after welcoming a baby after Molly-Mae gave birth to the former couple's daughter, Bambi, in January 2023.

Kerry wrote: "Sending out love to Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury following their breakup news. There seems to be a trend young couples with a new bub often part ways. Been there myself. I totally get what Molly-Mae is facing.

"I did it with my two little ones in my early twenties. My first hubby was hardly around and it's brutal. Molly was often left alone prior to the split while Tommy was away for work. What's the point of a relationship if you're not there for each other? She's already been parenting solo, when in reality, balance is key.

"It's terrible for anyone to experience, but it's even harder for Molly-Mae and Tommy given their fame and the public scrutiny. I'm amazed my kids turned out alright," she added.
