Trump watches Hulk Hogan rip off his shirt in fiery RNC speech as he dubs ex-President 'heroic'

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan delivered a fiery speech on the final night of the Republican National Convention, firing up the crowd before Donald Trump's much-anticipated speech accepting his party's nomination for US president. As he stumped for Trump, Hogan tore the shirt off his chest, revealing a MAGA message underneath.

The legendary former WWE star, known for his larger-than-life persona, received thunderous cheers at the Republican National Convention as he prepared the stage for Trump. In his address, Hogan urged, "I want All the Hulkmaniancs to live the American dream too."

Hogan rallied against the Biden administration, saying: "We never had it better than the Trump years, we had safety, we had peace... And then we lost it... Crime is out of control," He then went on to warn, "So all you criminals, all you lowlives, all you scumbags... whatcha gonna do when Donald Trump is president again."

Reaching a frenzy in his speech, Hogan began to undress, while shouting: "When they took a shot at my hero and they tried to kill the next President of the United States, enough was enough. I said 'Let Trumpmania run wild brother, let Trumpmania rule again, let Trumpmania make America great again'," before ripping his shirt in two.

Behind the scenes, two top campaign aides disclosed to NBC that the 70 year old wrestling veteran would make an appearance at the RNC's last day to make remarks before Trump's eagerly awaited acceptance speech. The evening marked Trump's first public speaking event since an assassination attempt was made against him at a Butler, Pennsylvania rally, reports the Mirror US.

And while Trump escaped with only minor injuries, the dreadful assault tragically claimed the life of 50 year old Corey Comperatore and critically injured two others. In response to this tragedy, Hogan aired his condemnation of the brutal act on social media as he expressed support for Trump.

That Saturday night, Hogan quickly took to Instagram to post a trending picture of an embattled Trump, head held high and fist raised, whilst blood streamed down from a grazed ear inflicted by a bullet on stage.

Underneath the harrowing image, Hogan delivered a message to his 2.5 million followers that stated: "Today's events in Butler, Pennsylvania are deeply disturbing. No President, past or present, should face such a horrific act."

The wrestler-turned-actor who hails from Florida continued: "Our thoughts and prayers are with President Trump, law enforcement and the Secret Service who bravely protect and uphold our shared values."

Hogan was expected too to the stage at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, July 18, between 7.30pm and 8pm CT.

The wrestling star and '80s icon shared the stage with two other distinguished guest speakers - Carrie Ruiz, GM of golf at Trump National Doral in Miami, and Annette Albright, a previous contender for an at-large position on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education last autumn.
