Inside Kyle Walker and Annie's marriage now and their latest decision

Kyle Walker has come face to face with his former lover in court as his on-off wife Annie Kilner remains at home with their children.

The Manchester City ace, 34, has entered a legal battle with ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman, 33, who shares two of his six children thanks to an extra-marital affair. Kyle admitted to fathering the Instagram model's children earlier this year, resulting in his long-term partner Annie, 32, announcing she was taking a break from their marriage.

The mum-of-four reportedly kicked the dad out of the Cheshire family home in January and has since been on a rocky journey to reportedly try to forgive the football player. Whilst pregnant with their fourth child earlier this year, she took to Instagram to inform her followers of their separation in an emotional statement.

She wrote: "I am posting this in response to growing recent media enquiries about my marriage to Kyle and in an effort to protect my family against the intensity of the media spotlight. Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together; I have decided to take some time away from Kyle."

The model ended her online statement by saying: "I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and our three young children is respected during this difficult time." Meanwhile Kyle broke his silence regarding the split and wrote: "Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologise for the upset I've caused her.

"She's been part of my life for so long and that will never change for the sake of our children. I would ask for privacy for all of our family, and especially our young children, whilst we work through these difficult times." Kyle then opened up about how he ended up fathering a second child with Lauryn.

The dad-of-six recalled how he had vowed not to have any contact with Lauryn beyond ongoing financial arrangements regarding their son. But by August 2022, Lauryn had apparently revealed she was planning to relocate 245 miles from Brighton to set up home up north close to Kyle's family home.

He explained in January how he met her at a solicitors’ office in a bid to stop her moving. It was during the meeting that he met his son Kairo for the first time, which led to the footballer resuming contact with Lauryn behind his wife's back. A few months later, in October 2022, Kyle travelled to London for groin surgery and met up with Lauryn during his time in the capital.

Revisiting his meeting with Lauryn and sleeping with her while married to his childhood sweetheart Annie, Kyle told The Sun : "It wasn’t intentional or premeditated but I slept with her. A lot was going on. It’s not an excuse. I’d ruptured my groin, I had a World Cup to get fighting fit for."

In the months following their rendevous, the England defender received the bombshell news that Lauryn was pregnant again. He recalled: "Lauryn told me at the end of October, early November. I remember going upstairs at the training ground when I got a phone call from her. I was with the physio at the time. I nearly fainted. I was just white. He said to me, ‘What’s the matter?’, and I wouldn’t tell him because I needed to process it myself.

"I asked if we could scrap the session and he just said, ‘Fine’. I went into survival mode. I was like, ‘What can I do now every day to make sure that I go home to Annie and the boys?’ When I was dealing with all this, I was still able to play football. My mum and my dad and my friends have asked me, ‘How?’. But it was my release. It was 90 minutes, 100 minutes, two hours if you want to call it that, where I didn’t have to look at that phone or listen to demands from a certain someone."

Lauryn gave birth to her daughter, known only as K.W, in August 2023, with Annie finding out about her husband's second love child a few months later. The married couple have weathered many ups and downs, with the City star embroiled in several scandals over the years, after Kyle and Annie's love story began some 15 years ago.

They first met in their hometown of Sheffield when she was 15 and he was 17. She previously revealed: "When we started going out it was love at first sight." The parents share four sons, Roman, 11, Riaan, 7, Reign, 5, and now baby Rezon, and Kyle was said to have been by her side during the newborn's birth.

But Kyle has been accused of infidelity multiple times since they started their love story. In April 2019, he and Annie split up after Ex On The Beach Star Laura Brown claimed the pair had romped in the back of his car. When Annie demanded proof, Laura is said to have sent a selfie she had taken inside their family home.

Kyle begged Annie to take him back, but by July, he had a brief fling with model Lauryn and got her pregnant. Kyle and Annie's youngest son was one year old at the time. Annie sadly revealed she had a miscarriage in 2020, and three months later, she discovered Lauryn was expecting Kyle's child. Annie described what Kyle had done as 'obscene'.

She said: "In late March last year he was unfaithful with a reality TV star. I found out a month later and was broken by it. He begged me to take him back but by July he was at it again. Not even three months later and someone was pregnant. My youngest was one. Who does that?"

Heartbroken Annie told The Sun at the time: "I don't know what my thoughts or feelings are any more. I feel dead inside." As Lauryn welcomed baby boy Kairo into the world, meanwhile, Annie took Kyle back and the couple got married in November 2021.

In August 2023, Lauryn gave birth to a daughter with 'another footballer' and did not publicly disclose her second child's name, other than hinting the initials are KW on Instagram. In an interview with The Sun in January, Lauryn said that Kyle is the father and told of the exact moment she showed Annie a DNA test to prove it. She said the two women agreed to meet on a FaceTime call the day after Boxing Day, while Kyle was playing away with Man City.

Speaking on the scandal for the first time, Lauryn said: "Kyle was happy hiding the truth because he was having two families and was scared about what would happen when Annie knew but I kept saying to him, 'Our daughter can't be a secret, she is a human'. I didn't want them to split up or cause harm but it had to be out in the open for all of our sakes." She said she showed Annie pictures of Kyle with their two children.

In a tearful interview with the Sun on Sunday, Kyle admitted to his baby daddy secret. "What I've done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can't begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through," he said.

"I've tried to ask her but there's pain and hurt. The man that's meant to love, care and be there for her, did this." He said he wanted to 'curl up into a ball' when his relationship with Lauryn came to light. Talking of his regret, he added: "When I met Annie at 17, I never envisaged my private life being like this. I never thought I would be a father of six."

Kyle and Annie were said to have not been together for the last 11 months and it was reported he was living in a penthouse flat in Manchester city centre, after a string of 'blazing rows'. A source told MailOnline : "We don't see much of Kyle since she threw him out at the end of August. And one time after that they argued over the driveway security fence. He was trying to get back into his house but she wouldn't let him as she blocked and barricaded the driveway. She was really angry with him and called him all sorts of names."

But despite their struggles, it was recently revealed that Kyle and Annie aren't dwelling on the past and are instead looking at how they can maintain a positive relationship for their four children, with their recent trip to Wales billed as a "relationship tonic". Despite being paid an estimated £160k a week, the football star reportedly chose to patch things up at a caravan park along the coast of Abersoch, in resort The Warren, known as the 'millionaires' caravan park'.

A source told Mail+: "They haven't been able to spend a lot of time together despite everything that’s been going on. This was supposed to be a chance to share time with their children. Obviously, Kyle hopes it will help him get his feet back under the table."

Annie was then seen supporting the father of her kids from the sidelines during the Euros championship, and whilst the footballer's wife attended every match during this year's tournament, she reportedly vowed to "not play happy families" with Kyle in Germany. Instead, she decided on £35,000 return flights on a private jet for each match rather than staying in Germany for the duration, according to reports.

A spokesman for the footballer told MailOnline at the time: "Kyle is proud to be a part of the England team and thrilled with the incredible result tonight. He continues to focus on the matches and their aim of bringing the trophy home to the millions of fans watching." He added: "Annie and the boys travelled to support him and the whole squad, as they have done and always will do, and once asks that the media gives them privacy and turns their attention to supporting the England team."

The wife was forced to face influencer Lauryn, who was also cheering on Kyle with their son Kairo, after also flying out to Germany in June despite Annie reportedly banning him from having anything to do with the Celebs Go Dating star. Those close to Annie previously reported that she had the backing of her fellow WAGS, which has helped her to navigate herself and her children through the difficult time.

Sources have said that Annie has done her best to allow their children to watch their dad live from the stands as that it was they have been used to, growing up in the world of football. A source told MailOnline, speaking of Annie's support: "Annie is surrounded by love from the other WAGS who admire her strength and resilience. The WAGs recently pledged their support amidst the circus involving Lauryn and want Annie to know they have her and Kyle's back. They're all a big family no matter what happens between the adults and pitch together to support the young ones amongst them."

Now after some time has passed following the bombshell news of Kyle's love children, the couple are said to be giving it another shot. "Annie is in a good place right now. She was dreading the Euros, but she got caught up with the excitement of it all," a source told Heat magazine.

"Despite everything that has happened, she loves watching Kyle play and seeing her kid's faces when they see him on the pitch. It also helped that the other WAGs have taken her under their wings, reminding her they have her back, and doings so much to make her feel happy and relaxed."

The source went on to allege Annie is "willing to give things with Kyle one final try" and hopes the pair can enjoy a fresh start. The insider also went on to tell Heat magazine how Annie was angry at Kyle for "a long, long time and part of her will still never forgive him" but she also sees her estranged husband as an amazing dad and recalls how "great things can be".

But Kyle shouldn't get too comfortable at home just yet. According to the insider, the wife has set some ground rules and non-negotiables for her husband and has made it clear that if Kyle ever cheats again, "she'd never forgive him". However, if the sports star can prove he's changed, Annie "feels it could be worth trying for" - for her own sake and for their kids - but the ball is in Kyle's court to prove himself.
