Gardai close road following 'serious' collision in Dublin

Gardaí are currently at the scene of a “serious” road collision in North Dublin.

The collision occurred on Coast Road, Baldoyle, heading into Dublin at around 1am on Wednesday morning. Gardaí have sealed off the scene of the collision, with a blue tent visible.

The Coast Road (R106) is currently closed in both directions between Baldoyle Church and Moyne Road in Dublin 13.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed the crash to the Irish Mirror: “Gardaí are currently at scene of a serious road traffic collision that occurred on Coast Road, Baldoyle, Dublin 13 shortly before 1am this morning Wednesday 17 July.

“The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.”
