Gavin James at Trinity College Dublin: Tickets, stage times, setlist, weather and transport info


Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James is set to perform a huge open-air concert this week as part of the Trinity Summer Series in Trinity College Dublin.



The Dublin native has achieved global success with his captivating live performances and soulful songwriting, and has also sold more than 250 000 tickets (and counting) worldwide.



He is now set to perform a hometown show in the beautiful surroundings of Trinity College this Wednesday (July 4) and we have all the info you need ahead of the gig.

Tickets

There are still a handful of tickets available to Gavin James' gig at Trinity College this Wednesday available to purchase via Ticketmaster, priced at €54.90 each



There will be one ticket collection point / box office located inside the concert entry point.



Concertgoers are urged to download their tickets to their phone ahead of the event - don’t wait until the day. Screenshots will not be valid as barcodes are live and updating regularly.



Stage times

Concert organisers MCD have confirmed that gates will open at 7pm on Wednesday, and ticketholders have been warned that there is strictly no early queuing or camping permitted.



Northern Irish singer-songwriter Ryan McMullan is the support act for the night and is due to kick off his set at 7.45pm, with Gavin James expected on stage at 8.45pm.



An MCD spokesperson added that all times are subject to change, so fans are advised to get to the venue with plenty of time to spare.



There are no re-admissions to the concert. If you leave, there is no re-entrv.

How to get to Trinity College Dublin

Those heading to Wednesday's gig should plan and book their return travel arrangements in advance allowing at least an extra two hours travel time to and from the venue. As traffic and parking delays are inevitable youare encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport.



By Dart: The Dart will run services to and from the concerts each day. Concertgoers who you are planning on using the DART should alight at Pearse Street or Tara Street Dart Station. Visit www.irishrail.ie.

By Luas: Trinity College Dublin is well serviced by the LUAS Green line: Alight at Dawson Luas stop for both Northbound and Southbound services.



Concertgoers are strongly urged to use public transport as there will be NO parking facilities available on site.



When you arrive at Trinity, there will be one entry point at Lincoln Place Gate (between Nassau street and Westland Row). There will be NO ENTRY to site via the Front Square or Nassau St. gates.



Weather forecast

According to Met Eireann, it will be dull and damp on Wednesday morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. However, the rain is expected to clear during the early afternoon, followed by sunny spells and scattered showers for the rest of the day.



It is forecast to become breezy for the afternoon as light to moderate southwest winds veer westerly and increase moderate to fresh and gusty, with top temperatures of 16C to 18C.



What else do I need to know?

The concert series at Trinity College is strictly over 18’s, and ID required. Strict age monitoring will be in place and any under 18’s will be refused entry without refund.



Strict security checks will be in operation. Everyone will be subject to a search permissible under law. It is a condition of entry, to protect everyone's safety. Additional searches may take place once inside the venue.



Patrons are especially advised not to bring large bags/backpacks as they may experience delays or be refused entry. There will be no storage facilities on site. Any items left at entrances/in surrounding areas will be removed and disposed of accordingly.



Bags larger than A4, glass or cans, umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, professional cameras and audio recording equipment will not be permitted.
