Julia Roberts already gushed about Travis Kelce's teammate before Taylor Swift Dublin gig embrace

Julia Roberts was spotted having a chinwag with Travis Kelce as they enjoyed Taylor Swift's Dublin gig - the Hollywood star previously gushed about feeling a "kinship" with Kelce's teammate, Kansas City Chiefs ace Patrick Mahomes.

The "Notting Hill" legend joined the throng of celebs in the Irish capital to catch Swift's "Eras Tour". With rock royalty like Stevie Nicks also there, Roberts was seen getting chummy with Kelce in the VIP section, sharing a hug in what looked like a warm moment.

Kelce, who had earlier made a surprise appearance at Swift's Wembley concert, seemed to have pulled another unexpected move by turning up at Aviva Stadium to support his girlfriend. The encounter with Roberts, a self-confessed "Pretty Woman" enthusiast, appeared to be a happy surprise for both.

Roberts, a known sports enthusiast, has openly praised Mahomes after watching him on the "Quarterbacks" documentary series. During her chat on SiriusXM's "The Jess Cagle Show", she expressed her admiration for the NFL star, which stemmed from her viewing of the show that also stars Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota, saying: "I'm watching a lot of documentary things."

"I mean, I love documentaries, but I watched this documentary series quarterback. It has changed my life, I think. Because I'm a big football fan. But this has given me an insight, like I have so much respect right now for Patrick Mahomes, I don't know what to do with it. There's really not a place for me to put it on a daily basis."

The Netflix series had a profound impact on Roberts, who admitted her views on the demanding role of a quarterback transformed after the enlightening watch. She added: "The quarterback, you think like, 'Oh, he shows up and throws the ball around.' I mean, that's what I thought."

"That's wrong. I felt a kinship because I feel like my homework when I'm working it never ends. There's always some other elements, some other thing to learn, to figure out, to get ready for to, you know, whatever it is, and so I kind of felt like I understand you, Patrick Mahomes."

Alongside Kelce, Mahomes shone bright once again in the 2023 season as the dynamic duo led the Chiefs to another Super Bowl victory, solidifying their stronghold over the recent NFL history.

By overcoming the San Francisco 49ers in the glitzy Las Vegas finale, they marked their third crowning glory in America's biggest football event in just five years.
