Joe Wicks welcomes fourth child as wife Rosie gives birth after health scare

Joe Wicks has become a dad for the fourth time, with his wife Rosie giving birth to the youngest member of their growing family.

Taking to Instagram on Monday evening, the bodycoach revealed that Rosie had given birth to a baby boy. Alongside adorable photos of their newborn son, proud dad Joe wrote: "Today at 9.30am we welcomed our 4th baby into the world. A little boy weighing 7lbs 13oz. Rosie gave birth at home. The NHS midwives from St Peter’s hospital were amazing. Rosie and the baby are both doing well and getting some rest."

The sweet family snaps saw Joe, 38, cradling his newborn son in his arms, and another saw his daughter Indie, 6, holding her brand-new baby brother. It wasn't long before the congratulations came rolling in from the couple's famous pals as This Morning star Rochelle Humes was one of the first to comment on the sweet baby news. She wrote: "Congratulations gang."

In February, just weeks after announcing Rosie's pregnancy, Joe revealed his wife had been rushed to hospital. Expecting their fourth bundle of joy, Rosie, at 21 weeks pregnant, had to be rushed to hospital enduring crippling appendicitis. Fitness fanatic Joe shared the shocking revelation with fans by posting an intimate snap of Rosie's freshly bandaged stomach on social media.

The devoted husband captioned the image: "Rosie had to go into hospital last week to have her appendix out, She and the baby are all good, She's on the mend now." The candid snapshot showcased Rosie raising her pink jumper to reveal the confining bandages gracing her tummy, suggesting she underwent a laparoscopic appendectomy procedure, which entails the removal of the inflamed appendix through small incisions.

Joe and Rosie, a former model, shared their exciting baby news at the start of the year, announcing Rosie's pregnancy to fans on social media in January. Joe, 38, excitedly took to Instagram to share the big news with his 4.7 million followers, writing: "Baby number 4 incoming #20weeks."

In the adorable snapshot, the couple stood by a picturesque lake, with Rosie showcasing her growing baby bump in a form-fitting outfit, while Joe lovingly wrapped his arm around her and their older daughter Leni. The post quickly garnered over 68,000 likes and was flooded with congratulatory messages from both fans and fellow celebrities.

Jools Oliver, wife to celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, commented, "Yay so excited for you all the happiest news," accompanied by several heart emojis. Fans also expressed their happiness, with one writing: "Ahhhh that's amazing news! ! ! I'm so happy for all of you! ! Such a beautiful family. Congratulations." Another added, "Oh wow! Congratulations to you all. I was thinking I bet number 4 would be coming soon." Tana Ramsay, who recently gave birth to her sixth child at the age of 49, was over the moon, exclaiming: "Such fabulous news. So happy for you both."

Fitness guru Joe, known as The Body Coach, who became a household name with his lockdown workouts, and Rosie tied the knot in 2019 and were already proud parents to India, Marley, and baby Leni before welcoming their new bundle of joy into the world. Joe tends to keep his personal life under wraps, but he has shared insights into his family life before. He revealed his decision to homeschool his eldest daughter, India, stemmed from a desire to spend "more time" with his family.

When asked about the reasons behind homeschooling, Joe responded with a picture of India and explained: "There's really nothing more to the decision than we just love being together as a family and want to spend more time with the kids while we can. She had a great year in reception but we have always loved teaching the kids at home and want the freedom to travel more and explore the world. She might go to school next year. We have no idea long term but want to do at least a year of home educating."

He also opened up about the challenges of adjusting to life with his then new baby, Leni, which left him feeling "frustrated and stressed". Joe confessed to New magazine: "I'm used to getting eight hours. When I wake up and I've been woken up three or four times it really breaks your sleep." To cope with the stress, Joe emphasised the importance of physical activity: "I'm tired, I'm frustrated, I'm stressed when I wake up. My instant reaction is to move my body, to release it."
