Over eight hundred and fifty Greek Orthodox believers of all generations and ages representing 55 communities of the Diocese of Boston, accompanied by the priests of their communities, flooded the large hall of social events of Gillette Stadium,in the city of Foxboro, Massachusetts and led by the former Archbishop of America Dimitrios and with the presence of the representative of Greece, Ambassador Simeon Tegou, celebrated the fortieth anniversary of the pastorate of Metropolitan Methodios.

The event of the official dinner during which active and faithful members of the communities were honored took place on the evening of Sunday, June 9, with the surprise of the evening being the presence of the former Archbishop of America Dimitrios, who with his Hagiographic, theological and ecclesiastical speech he spoke highly of Metropolitan Methodios, for whom he always had and still has love and respect.

He referred to his path and his priestly ministry from his enthronement until today, while on the same wavelength was the greeting of the Consul General of Greece in Boston, Ambassador Simeon Tegou. It should be noted that Archbishop Dimitrios was received with feelings of respect and love by the hundreds of clergy and laity present.

The event was marked by the top move of the Hellenic-American Organization Alpha-Omega of Boston, whose officials presented Metropolitan Methodios with a check of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the indoor gymnasium under construction at the Metropolis Camp Center in the town of Condukook, New Hampshire. It is pointed out that it was the first installment paid out of the five hundred thousand dollars which is the total pledge. The other two hundred and fifty thousand will be given when the equivalent of two hundred and fifty thousand is collected from donations.

Honorable mentions were given to the couples Georgiou and Markos Behrakis and Georgiou and Karen Danis and to Georgios Saffiol for their generous contributions from the beginning and through the years to the Camp Center of the Metropolis
