Atalanta cruise into UEL final, Roma bow out with pride

Atalanta cruised into the final of
the UEFA Europa League on Thursday by crushing Marseille 3-0 at
home in the return leg of their semi-final thanks to goals by
Ademola Lookman, Matteo Ruggeri and El Bilal Toure.

The Bergamo outfit won't face fellow Italians AS Roma in the
final in Dublin later this month after Daniele De Rossi's side
drew 2-2 at Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 to go out 4-2 on aggregate
after losing the first leg 2-0.

Nevertheless, Roma can take pride in the way the went out.

They managed to pull the tie level thanks to penalties by
Leandro Paredes, but the newly crowned German champions
prevailed thanks to an unlucky Gianluca Mancini and a last-gasp
strike by Josip Stanisic.

Italy also has a team in the Conference League final after
Fiorentina completed a 4-3 aggregate win over Club Brugge on
Wednesday.
