Soccer: Roma face tough task to reach UEL final

AS Roma face an uphill task to reach
the UEFA Europa League final after losing the home leg of their
last-four tie against Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 on Thursday, with
Florian Wirtz and Robert Andrich scoring for the newly crowned
German champions.

   
Atalanta are in a stronger position thanks to a 1-1 at Marseille
in the other semi.

   
Italy forward Gianluca Scamacca put the Bergamo side in front in
the early stages only for Chancel Mbemba to equalize for the
hosts soon after.

   
In the Conference League, Fiorentina beat Bruges 3-2 at home in
the first leg of their semi-final.
