Forced landing of aircraft at Heraklion airport due to drunken passengers

On Monday night, a couple on an international flight bound for Hurghada, Egypt, had to make an emergency landing at Heraklion's "Nikos Kazantzakis" airport.

The incident concerned a couple, a 42-year-old Irish woman and a 45-year-old Polish man, who were besides themselves from too much alcohol, literally made the flight from Glasgow, Scotland to Hurghada, Egypt, "hell", displaying particularly provocative behavior.

The crew's many attempts to calm them down were in vain!

The situation was so serious that the pilot requested an emergency landing at the "Nikos Kazantzakis" airport of Heraklion, which happened at 9 pm.

The couple was arrested, while the police took their 8-year-old child with them to the Police Station.

After they disembarked, the plane took off for Egypt.
