Three injured in two separate traffic accidents

Two men and a woman were injured in separate traffic accidents that took place in Mellieha and Rabat on Wednesday, the police said Thursday.

The first accident took place in Marfa Road, Mellieha, at 2.30pm.

A French 60-year-old man who was riding a Yamaha motorbike lost control and crashed into barriers on the side of the road. The rider had a French 56-year-old woman with him.

The second accident took place in Sajf ta’ San Martin Street in Rabat ay 5.30pm.

An Italian woman, aged 43, lost control of the Kymco Agility she was riding and crashed. The rider had a 15-year-old boy, who was uninjured.

The French duo and the Italian woman were all taken to hospital for treatment.
