Three arrested in drug investigation

Three people were arrested as after being found to be in possession of different drugs, the police said.

"Following information regarding the alleged suspects, on Friday, the police stopped a vehicle in Bugibba that was being driven by a 50-year-old man, who had a 39-year-old man with him in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, substance suspected to be cocaine and heroine was found in a way that was ready to be trafficked.

Searches continued in Mosta, in the residence of the 50-year-old, in which a 24-year-old man was also present. The police found a 700 gramme block of pure heroin, a gun and a number of bullets, in addition to other items used for drug trafficking.
