Liz Hurley almost arrested after son dares her to chase Hugh Grant with knife in airport

Liz Hurley nearly landed herself in hot water after her son, Damian, had her chase Hugh Grant around an airport with a pretend dagger.

In a chat with Tatler, Damian Hurley, 22, admitted that the dramatic incident was the 'finest moment' of his budding film career. It's no surprise that he always dreamt of making it big in the industry, starting his journey towards stardom from a young age.

He revealed: "When my mother gave me my first camcorder for my eighth birthday, a despot was born. From that moment, all I wanted was to write and direct movies. I tortured every friend and family member I could get my hands on to act in my self-written, self-directed short films, and I dragged whole suitcases of props, lights and costumes on every vacation."

However, nothing tops the ludicrous event where he almost got his mum nicked, when he unintentionally convinced Swiss police that she was a threat to society. Damian recalled: "My finest moment was nearly getting my mother arrested en route to St Moritz when I made her chase my long-suffering godfather Hugh Grant around Zurich airport with a fake dagger, bellowing that she was going to skin him alive."

From Bridget Jones to Love Actually, Hugh Grant has starred in a plethora of classics, but surely none can compare to being pursued by a knife-wielding Liz Hurley. In spite of the chaos the young man has experienced, Damian's current work overshadows it all.

His first-time outing in cinema, 'Strictly Confidential', powerfully delves into the raw emotion and hardship of grieving. The poignant film follows a family grappling with the loss of their loved one, a woman killed by drowning at her ancestral residence in the Caribbean. The inspiration behind this story comes from Damian's personal struggle; dealing with the suicide of a close mate along with that of his father, Steve Bing.

He courageously shared: "Finally, I unearthed a treatment I'd written when I was 17 in the aftermath of losing a close friend to suicide. At the time, I'd shelved it, deciding I wasn't yet ready to tell the story, but in the three-year interim, I'd lost a parent, also to suicide, and had been forced to grow up fast."

"I realised I now had the experience to bring the script to life, and Strictly Confidential was born: the story of a young woman who is haunted by the suicide of her best friend and determined to find answers."
