RTE presenter Marty Morrissey offering fans chance to join him on holiday for four-figure sum

Marty Morrissey is offering fans the opportunity to join him on a Spanish holiday this year for a cost of €1,340.

The RTE presenter is going to the Costa del Sol with his “Marty Party” and will be joined by a host of musicians and singers. They include Tommy Fleming, Sharon Shannon, The Galway Tenors, Paul Harrington, Kate Purcell and Patrick O’Sullivan.

He posted on X: "I wouldn't go to the #CostadelSol and not invite you ... @killester_group presents the #MartyPartySpain 1-8 October 2024. Just look at the line-up below joining me."

The 65-year-old is heading to Spain from October 1-8, with the event taking place at the Holiday World Polynesia Hotel, Benalmadena.

Described as "a week of great fun, great entertainment and plenty of laughs", the package includes return flights to Malaga, airport transfers, seven nights accommodation on a half board basis, and entertainment daily in the afternoon and evenings, with Morrissey MCing. The price per person sharing is €1275 and a tax of €65.

The GAA commentator posted the tweet with the #ad, which online personalities must do so under the Consumer Protection Act 2007 and the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland’s (ASAI) code.

RTÉ previously stated that employees are required to get a line manager’s permission before entering into external brand deals, with a new register of interests and a register of external activities launched for staff at the state broadcaster earlier this year.
