[BREAKING] One construction worker trapped, another in hospital, after ceiling collapse at Sliema

Two construction workers have been injured in what appears to be a ceiling collapse at a construction site in Sliema. 

A police spokesperson said a report about the incident was made at 9:50am on Saturday.  The incident is understood to be a collapse of  a ceiling at a residence that is currently being renovated. 

One of the workers is understood to have walked away from the collapse and was taken to hospital in an ambulance, but his co-worker is understood to still be trapped under rubble. 

Emergency services are on site and rescue efforts are ongoing.
