Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power remain in contention at RBC Heritage


Rory McIlroy and Seamus Power are both firmly in contention after round two of the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.



Waterford man Power was just two shots off the lead after a stunning opening round 65 and although unable to hit them heights is still firmly in the mix.



Power carded a steady one-under-par 70 to sit in a tie for 10th after round two.



It looked as if Power was going to storm to top of the leaderboard following birdies on five, six and nine to go around the front nine in three-under-par but had bogeys on 12 and 15 to slip back and is four off the lead.



Joining him in a tie for 10th is Rory McIlroy who shot three under ont he day. An opening par was met with 10 pars on the trot before picking up two more birdies on 12 and 15 to climb up the leaderboard.



Shane Lowry slipped down the leaderboard and is in a tie for 57th following his round after shooting a one-over-par 72.



There is a four way tie at the top with Tom Hoge, Sepp Straka, Collin Morikawa, and J.T. Poston all 11-under-par. MacKenzie Hughes, Patrick Rodgers, and Ludvig Aberg sit one shot behind.
